Alternative Method of Transportation

In numerous industries, conveyors of all kinds are utilized with various levels of satisfaction. Most conveyor customers would really like to have an alternative method of transporting materials, or better yet, completely do away with this equipment.

The NETZSCH NM-SF Series Screw Pump is the answer to their needs. Customers who convey waste material including municipal sludge, centrifuge and filter cake can now use the NEMO® Screw Pump. With advanced technology, we can now offer our customers:

  • True close loop systems
  • Reliability
  • Safety
  • Flexibility
  • Environmentally Safe Alternatives

NM Series Open Throat Pump

The NM Series Open Throat Pump utilizes the following major improvements:

  • The NM Pump inlet opening is over twice the size of our prior style.
  • The NM Pump utilizes an oversized auger which allows the material to flow around the joints without dewatering the product.
  • The NM Pump housing and stator form a continuous chamfer which funnels the material into the pumping elements.
  • The NM universal joint is moved back into the suction hopper allowing the material to flow more easily into the rotor/stator.

Offshore drill cuttings have been a major area of concern for many years in the oil industry. Many of the operators are forced to box these cuttings and bring them to shore for further clean up or treat them offshore. In both cases, moving this material is very difficult and costly.

A environmental firm in Texas recently purchased NM Open Throat Pumps to eliminate costly conveyors and move these cuttings into either cuttings boxes or a centrifuge dryer for offshore disposal. They have completed five projects and are extremely pleased with the pumps performance. As a result, this company is expanding their services primarily because of the flexibility of our pump.
