New Laboratory-Ultra-Fine-Classifier

October 12, 2004
- Our existing wide range of sizes and machine designs of CFS/HD-S high-performance-ultra-fine classifiers has recently been complimented by a new laboratory machine.

Excellent particle size selectivity and exact internal product flow of the product are the essential characteristics of this air classifier. The classifying results of these machines show a high degree of efficiency due in particular by a very high dispersion effect (HD = High Dispersion) before the product is separated via the classifier wheel.
A further reason for the excellent classifying results achieved by this series of classifiers is the geometry of the classifying wheel itself. As with the other classifiers in the CFS/HD-S series, the patented “ConVor” constant radial velocity classifier wheel is the heart of the classifier.

The CFS 5 HD-S High Dispersion Air Classifier with a gas flow volume of 50 m3/h (approximately 29 SCFM) is the smallest machine of this series and guarantees optimal classifying results on a laboratory scale. Low volume and/or high value materials can be classified on this new laboratory-size mill. The easy-access and consequently easy-cleaning of the machine is ensured by a very accessible design with all parts completely removable.

A complete classifier system can be provided with a feeder, cyclone, filter, blower and control panel completely installed on a base frame at an attractive price. As a further option, a CGS 10 Fluidised Bed Jet Mill can be installed on the base frame to provide a complete and totally flexible laboratory system.
